In the past months I have been analyzing Grand Prix Circuit, a Formula 1 racing game developed by DSI in 1988. It started with a simple patch to make the game assets browsable through a Stunts resource editor named Stressed, but the project evolved into a full mod.
The mod is called Don Matrelli’s Legacy and will feature
- Three new tracks
- Three new cars
- A full set of new opponents, stronger than the original ones
- A 23-letter German word
The release date could be anytime before the end of the summer. Most parts are complete but the final touches will still take some time. You can enjoy some preview videos in the meanwhile.
