The bees are gathering, and they're watching you.

You were terrified the first time they did this. You barely even notice anymore. You step out of your car, and a swarm materializes from all directions. They form a cloud, and then a ball, and then an ellipsoid, and then a mannequin figure, and then a tiny 3D replica of your body in real time. It reminds you of Princess Leia's hologram, pleading "you're my only hope". Your swarm usually follows 3-4 feet behind you, but today it sits in the air right in front of you. You slowly lift your hand to touch the swarm, and it is not afraid of you. The bees continue to copy you; your little 3D body raises its arm with mirror-like precision. Whatever. You need groceries. You stride into Trader Joe's with your bees. You immediately notice everybody else's swarms are preceding people instead of following today. You pilot your crappy shopping cart to the produce section, where you intend to buy the best goddamn avocados in the store, but the bees -- they're first. You reach your hand out, and the tiny swarm hand extends first. You raise both your hands in the air, but the bees show your hands already raised. As you pull your phone out to record this phenomenon, your bee figurine is already holding its simulated phone in landscape orientation. As soon as you realize what's happening, your bees show how you will crumble onto that dirty supermarket floor. You will weep for a long while.
